Grade 4/5 Explores The Unique Portraits of Giuseppe Arcimboldo

Students in Mrs. Litynsky’s Grade 4/5 class were asked to complete portraits using the technique that famous painter, Giuseppe Arcimboldo is famous for.  Giuseppe Arcimboldo (1527-1593) was an Italian painter known mostly for creating imaginative portrait heads made entirely of objects such  as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish and books. He arranged the pictures in such a way that they took on the shape of a human head, complete with eyes, ears, nose mouth.
