Join us for a talk about literacy!

The Indigo Lakeshore store is our local supporter of the $135,000.00 Grant application that was submitted in January. The winners of this Love of Reading Grant will be announced in June. For more information on the Grant please our Indigo grant post.

In addition to this support, Indigo Lakeshore is currently collecting donations and having some bake sales to raise funds from February 27 to March 26 as part of their Love of Reading Foundation. Lakeshore will gift all the money that is collected during this time period back to Eastwood so we can purchase new books and e-readers from the Lakeshore Indigo Store!

This is such great news many Eastwood staff will be attending the Indigo Lakeshore store on Saturday, March 26th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm to promote this excellent initiative. Many guest teachers from Eastwood will attend on this day to talk about reading and learning to parents and patrons, some staff will bake food items and some will read stories to children and parents that visit the store. Our Eastwood band will be playing a selection of songs from 1 to 2.

With such a dedicated effort from our community partner to support Eastwood, we would like to invite as much participation from our parents. If parents wish to support the baked goods sale, please deliver your goodies directly to the Lakeshore Indigo Store on Friday evening or Saturday Morning. If you would like to support through a monetary donation, please use the Indigo post card supplied and drop it off at Indigo Store on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Parents can also support by attending with their children on Saturday, March 26th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Students can support by attending with their parents and wearing their Eastwood Eagles Spirit Shirt with pride!

Thank you for your consideration and support of Eastwood through our wonderful community partner Lakeshore Indigo. Hope to see many parents and students this Saturday, March 26th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Thank you,
Eastwood Staff
