Last year we participated in a read-a-thon that brought more trees and plants to our outdoor classroom (boulders have been ordered!),
Our School Sign was refurbished and we purchased 3 iPads and a new projector. This year we want to raise funds to continue to build our outdoor classroom and buy more iPads.
In response to student and staff input, the read-a-thon will look different from past years. Student surveys last year indicated the need for some changes to our read-a-thon. So, there will be more time for reading in the day and connection of literacy rich activities that already exists within the homeroom.
During Read-O-Ween we are encouraging students to dress as a favourite character in a book or comic book. You can consider the class expectation that your student(s) can tell you about the character, what book or comic book etc. Please do not wear masks in the school and please be safe on your way to school.
